To implement the spirit of "Rooted in China, Integrating Chinese and Foreign Experiences, Promoting the High-Quality Development of Chinese Medicine Higher Education by Opening Up to the World" as well as to steadily promote the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperation in our university, a meeting on quality assurance of the teaching of CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute was held in the second conference room of Huaying Building, Wenjiang Campus, on 13th December. Yu Hongyan, Director of the Higher Education Research and Quality Evaluation Centre of the university, Professor Huang Jialing and Professor Dai Yong, experts of teaching supervision at the university, Li Yan, Deputy Secretary of CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute, Mark Hubée, Executive Dean of CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute, and relevant staff attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Chen Yunhui, Deputy Dean of CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute.

During the meeting, Li Yan introduced the basic situation of the institute to the leaders and experts, and Mark Hubée, introduced the development of English courses. Director Yu Hongyan, Professor Huang Jialing and Professor Dai Yong gave feedback on the classroom teaching supervision of English courses and carried out in-depth communication on the enrollment and employment of Sino-foreign cooperative education as well as management, recruitment and management of foreign teachers, integration and innovation of high-quality educational resources, and accelerating the construction of high-quality assurance system.

In the concluding session, Director Yu Hongyan expressed her sincere appreciation to both Chinese and British teams for their hard work in the establishment and regular operation of CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute and introduced the construction of the quality assurance system of CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute as well as put forward her vision for the future development. She proposed that, taking this working meeting as an opportunity, the Chinese and British teams should be oriented to problems and needs, further build consensus and close cooperation, establish and improve the teaching quality assurance mechanism in line with the laws of teaching and learning of the two sides as soon as possible, and make clear the objectives and operation modes of teaching quality assurance, so as to seek common ground on the quality of teaching. The two sides should further build consensus and work closely together in order to establish a sound teaching quality assurance mechanism in accordance with the teaching and learning rules of both sides, clarify the teaching quality assurance objectives and operation modes, and promote the establishment of a Sino-British talent cultivation "quality community" in seeking common ground while reserving differences, so as to promote the high-quality development of Sino-British cooperation in education.
